Energetics society

History

The history of Energetics society of TPP Brestanica begins in 1951, when on October 1st the first subcommittee of “Society of machinist, train drivers and stokers of Croatia” was established. This was a legal predecessor of our modern society.
The activities of this society has always been very connected to the activities of TPP Brestanica, as the society manages education and training of professionals in charge of power producing equipment in TPP Brestanica. In the beginning, the society united a narrow group of experts in TPP Brestanica. Nowadays, our members are a wider range of employees in power production companies of the region, whose common goal is knowledge and sharing experience in the field of energetics.  

Membership and activities

Today the society joins more than 120 members. Our society works under the auspices of the National Union of Energetics Societies of Slovenia (www.zdes.si). Through this union, our employees get national certificates to operate power production facilities and other enacted and regulated professions.
Besides these enacted obligations, our society organises lectures by field professionals. By doing such, it undoubtedly contributes to spreading of knowledge and experience in the respective fields of work.
